It is with pleasure that I welcome you to the President Message page of Atlanta Association of Health Underwriters. If you are a visitor and not a current member, we are the Atlanta based affiliated organization of The National Association of Health Underwriters (NAHU). NAHU, a 77 year old organization, with over 20,000 members dedicated to providing advocacy for Agents, Brokers, Consultants, company representatives and others in the healthcare and related insurance industry markets. The National Association of Health Underwriters vision is that Every American will have access to private sector solutions for heath, financial and retirement security and the services of insurance professionals.
As president of Atlanta Association of Health underwriters, I sincerely welcome visitors and our all important members to this website. The business of health insurance is multi- regulated at the Federal and State government levels. Contemporary insurance markets are both complex and diverse, requiring Agents and Brokers to constantly increase their level of expertise in any given market segment. The Atlanta Association of Health Underwriters continue to be a source of information and advocacy by interacting with Congress on both National and State levels to help guide and assist with legislature that makes sense for both our members and their Clients.
The mission of AAHU: is to educate the public and decision makers about the value health insurance professionals deliver in helping consumers access the heath care system and, through education and association involvement, increase members ability to better serve consumers. We will do so in a financially prudent and responsible manner. The AAHU is dedicated to remaining relevant to our members weather it is offering RHU/REBC on line webinars, offering an exciting flow of information at the monthly general meetings, presenting the upcoming Benefits Forum February 21, at the Gwinnett Civic Center or hosting the 2008 Georgia Association of Health Underwriters, 18th annual convention, Omni Hotel-Atlanta, July 21-July 23, 2008.
The 2007-2008 AAHU Board represents a dynamic blend of individuals with diverse experiences in the Healthcare and related insurance industry markets, working to remain relevant to the audience that we serve... I thank you; for your vote of confidence electing me President and you can be assured that we will continue on the path of growth to our membership, which has become the staple of AAHU.
